This is certainly a nice hotel to spent time for less time. Good Things - 1. Reasonable Price 2. Shuttle Facility From and to Airport 3. Morning Breakfast 4. Facilities in Hotel Room 5. Location is 5 mins walking from Strip and MGM Grand Bad Things - 1. Reception staff - You will be very lucky if you will see smile on their face. Breakfast time was 6am to 9am and I reached at 9:00, she rudely said it is finished. Not at all Humble.

The only thing this hotel had going for it was the location. The bed was very hard and old. The front desk was rude and not helpful at all. Asked for an extra pillow and was refused with attitude. Would never stay here again.

Pros: ( If I have to say some) 1. May be price, but there are lot of other casinos providing rooms cheaper these days. 2. Microwave in room. 3. location. Cons: (Too many to list here) 1. Worst beds, believe not even good for one night stay. 2. old construction (almost run down). 3. Poor bathrooms. 4. A/C was a joke. It will Jam if it goes below 70 and its a huge problem at Vegas summer. I WOULD NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN.

This hotel was okay, the shower pressure left a lot to be desired and the water was cold. The pillows on the beds, which had plastic bed liners on them, were lumpy at best. I myself am twenty years old, however and had no other choice of venues in Vegas. Great aspects of the hotel is that it was close to the strip,and I felt pretty safe durring my stay.

I thought the price was a little high for this type of hotel. Otherwise, no issues here. It's just what I expected for a Travel Lodge. Great one nighter.. a place to get some sleep. Good water pressure.

Upon checking the front desk person (female) gave us the wrong room. When I asked for the room we ordered she told me I was wrong and was very rude and inconsiderate. I was not happy with the way I was handle especially from a Front desk Rep. The other gentlemen (wayne was one) were very helpful and polite, it was just the one female. Also the air conditioner froze up and in vegas at 105 degrees we needed that to keep the room cool. we had to fix that ourself. The internet connection kept kicking us out, not a good connection. The bed was nice and the room was decent. The housekeeping service was very nice too.

Ambassador strip inn is located very close to the strip. I had no problem walking to Las Vegas Blvd from the hotel. The only thing I did not like was they only have a soda machine with a couple of choices, No snacks at all. And the lack of internet was an issue.

If you're not looking to pay Casino rates, the Ambassador is not a bad substitute. Close to the airport, free shuttle to and from the airport and short walking distance from the MGM, Tropicana, Excalibur, New York, New York and other casinos on the south strip. The walls are thin though, so you will hear your neighbors (and they will hear you!) but overall a good place to stay for an affordable rate.

The price was great for the Vegas location and you could just walk to the main casinos. Its great for coming to sleep after partying all night in Las Vegas.

Great stay, other than the floor looked clean, but if you walked on it for just 2 minutes, your feet were black. And we were in a non-smoking room. They need to carpet clean BAD!

we had 3 hotel rooms booked and all of them had moths in the room. many dead on the carpet and many still flying also. this would be a better hotel if it wasn't for that problem

All I can say was that there were numerous, monstrous sized moths in all three of the rooms that my friends and I had stayed in. My room had about 7 or 8 moths that were the size of my thumb; another one of our rooms had like 20 moths; another room had about 10. These moths just kept coming out of no where.

I had lowered my expectations since the hotel was only rated 1.5 stars. The hotel exceeded my expectations. I would stay here again if I can't get a special rate at a higher rated hotel.

This place was terrific. The room was immaculate, the staff was very accomodating (they let me check in three hours early), and I would definitely stay here again. You can not beat the price in Vegas for a Saturday night in Vegas, and the location is well within all of the action. I had a wedding reception I was attending at New York New York, and walked the easy 10 min to the Strip without breaking a sweat (at 4 pm wearing a 3-piece suit!) It does not have any fantastic view of Vegas or anything, although the guests at the pool were appealing. There's a mini-mart 2 blocks away, and a Coco's 1 block away for good food to eat in your room. There's even a small frig and microwave in the room, if you want to get good snacks or even meals, like frozen lasagna or burritos at the mini-mart. Many of the big hotels don't have these convenience stores anywhere near by, but it really helps to have it (especially bottles of water in the morning!) in Vegas. Save your dough for everything else in Vegas, and stay at this clean, and comfy spot. The guy at the front desk offered to give me a ride to the airport, but I already had friends taking me...the staff is truly very friendly and helpful! Good luck in Vegas Baby!!!!!

I stayed here for only one night by myself. I would not bring my family here, but as I was alone and only in town for one night it was convenient and easily accessable from the airport. The staff was accomadating and let me check in early as well as getting me to the airport ASAP in the morning.

Hotel is very run down, and rooms are also old and poorly furnished. Breakfast is average to below average for this kind of hotel. Front desk staff are friendly. Area is industrial, next to airport. Strange vagabonds running around. You will need a car here, or expect to take a bus or cab to the nearest hotel, MGM Grand, if you do not want to walk for at least 20+ minutes each way.

the hotel itself was very nice for us and our visit.the comfort of the bed was terrible, very hard. the continnetnal breakfast was small, but nice. times were 7to9am we stopped 8:30am they had no food left.I thought they would keep it stocked until 9am.

Before I booked this Travelodge, I called them to confirm that they had a free shuttle to the convention that I was attending (as advertised). I was told yes,they did. When I arrived at the Vegas airport, I called the hotel to ask that the shuttle pick me up and take me to the "RIO", where my convention was. They said it would take about a half hour because the driver "needed to get gas". After 40 minutes, the shuttle arrives, I get in and ask to be taken to the Rio. "We don't go the the Rio". The driver calls his manager, hands me his phone (that has a photo of a distasteful half naked woman on it), and the manager tells me "there are no conventions at the Rio. We don't (and won't) drive there." It cost me $20 to take a taxi, and a wasted 90 minutes. Back at the hotel, the heater in my room didn't work, the pillows were comically lumpy, and I was awaken at 5:30 a.m. by the constant roaring of planes taking off and landing (airport right across the street).

I got to Vegas at 9am and my check in was not until 2pm! I was sick and sleepy and needless to say wanted a bed ASAP! The concierge was nice enough to allow me to check in 5 hours early to get much needed rest. On the day of my depart I had time to kill after our check-out. Again, the concierge was nice enough to keep our bags in a backroom while I walked around the strip. I highly recommend it, great location and great service!

You are within walking distance of the strip for 1/4 the price of the "big names". The hotel is clean and easy to get to. I would stay here again.

My room had a comfortable chair - a rarity in an inexpensive motel. There's a rudimentary free breakfast (cereal, milk, juice, coffee, a few pastries). WiFi is free but the signal was weak in my room; I had to go to the lobby to use it. Room was clean and comfy. The only downside was that it's near the airport and the planes do get a little loud.

For the price and our needs this hotel was good enough. I stay in Las Vegas at least once a month with my mom and two kids. I usually look for a suite hotel with a kitchen or kitchenette. This hotel at least had a fridge and microwave. The beds had a lot to be desired in the comfort department but overall the hotel was clean and quite.

First off we could not get into the room ever we had to play with the door handle to get it to open only when the key even worked. The beds felt like they had layed a piece of cardboard on some springs it was very very uncomfortable and when I tryed to take a shower there was no hot water at all. I also was not aware how close to an airport we were so the was the constant sound of plains taking off and garbage trucks. It was the worst place that I have ever stayed.

Price was excellent granted we stayed at this hotel during a peak period (new years eve), considering other hotels would cost a whole lot more. If you looking for a place to crash for the night, and on a budget this place cant get better. Since its close to the airport also the noise from the planes can get annoying, however well worth the money.

Average to low quality hotel. Too noisy, perfect for just pass the night. Great location.

Rooms were clean and tidy and quite comfortable. However, the door did not seal well (although, it did lock) so we could hear everything that happened outside such as full conversations, cars, and people walking by the door. We were able to get about 1 hour of sleep because of the near-constant conversations held outside. I would not recommend this Inn to anyone unless the doors are fixed and the management handled the outside noise better (nearly all from other hotel patrons).

The hotel was very close to the strip and easy to get to from the freeway. The room was clean and easy to feel at home in. The hotel is right across the street from the airport, but it was not noisy as one might expect. All in all, I was never disappointed while staying at this place.

My business partner and I stayed here on a business trip business in order to save money and still have good access to the Strip. Proximity was good, but the room was lousy. I consider the uncomfortable bed, shower faucet that is hard to understand (warm in the middle, cold on either side), paper-thin walls as unfortunate but tolerable considering the fact that it is a lower-end motel and we were trying to save money. What really upset me was the fact that the hotel included a hidden $10/person additional occupancy fee that wasn't advertised in the base listing. Since we each brought our sons, that was an unplanned $40 expense for two nights. If I had known about that additional expense, I could have stayed in a much nicer place for the same price. Next time, that's exactly what I will do.

Simple, clean Hotel, close to the Las Vegas Blvd - Great value for the money if you just want to stay overnight or only need a place to sleep!

We picked this hotel because of its convenience to the airport. Our room was clean and very nice. The bed was just a tad hard, but overall, everything was very nice. The price was perfect and we would book here again.

The hotel rooms are comfortable and clean. The only negative is that its a few blocks away from the strip- so walking to the strip and back was tiresome--especially in the scorching heat of vegas. Also, the breakfast is OK---it starts at 6 and is over by 9 ..... so you can not enjoy late mornings if you want a decent breakfast there.

Not recommended at all. Misleading advertisement and extremely rude staff. Rather sleep in my car then stay there again!!!

Its right next to the airport but not too far from the strip (a little over half a mile) The room was clean and decent in size but the bathroom was a little small. The sink was directly outside of the bathroom The hotel also had a coffee maker with enough coffee for 2 cups, an iron, an alarm clock, a refrigerator and free ice The shampoo cam in a small container but if you ask them, they give you more for free Overall, I was pleased with my stay there and really happy about the price.

Great location, block away from the MGM. Room was clean and even included microwave and fridge. Friendly staff, Ill definitely come back.

Office staff was friendly and helpfull. Room was clean and comfortable. We rented two rooms and on the second night there was a problem with the air conditioner in one of the rooms. The office reassigned another room with no problem. It's not a short walk to the strip but managable.

We needed to stay at the The Ambassador Strip Inn on our way through Vegas to Utah, and it fit the bill nicely. The rate was reasonable, the staff friendly and the room was not dirty or uncomfortable. The location was slightly out of the way if you were intent on spending a lot of time on the strip, but for travelers passing through it was just fine.

We flew in about midnight and got in a taxi and told them the name of the hotel. The driver had NO IDEA where it was. He said he thought it was a different hotel, which I thought was ridiculous. We pulled up to a hotel that had a sign different than the name of the hotel, where we had a reservation. It was it. How bizarre and stressful.

Fine hotel. Not big and fancy. But you have everything you need - including a parking space in front of your door. The high Vegas temperature was more nice from the hotel pool during the day :-) You have a max 10 min walk to the strip (New york New York and MGM). We had a very pleasan stay.

This location is obviously an older facility, but it is reasonably well kept. The staff was helpful and friendly. We had our grandson accompany us at the last minute, to see his great-aunt off at the airport and the staff made the adjustment with no charge and no hastle. This motel is very close to the airport and access is very easy and quick. We were meeting an early flight, so this was very convenient. This motel is just of the Las Vegas strip, so there were plenty of sights to see. The only negatives we could see was that the room had 2 double beds instead of queen size and the furniture was very worn. The Cocos restaurant nearby is an older establishment, but the food was good and the staff was very friendly. We would recommend this motel for airport convenience at a reasonable rate. This would change without the "Summer discount" that was applied.
