Hotel had great location in Budapest - close to Oktagon - so easy to get everywhere

The comfiest bed/pillow combo i have ever encountered. Clean room, efficient service, central location and friendly staff. I would definitely go back.

There are no surprises at this hotel. It is first class American hotel in a nice, local (not tourist) shopping area. Service is friendly, prompt, and very warm. Rooms and baths were super clean. We didn't eat at the hotel so cannot comment on the restaurant but the lounge service, drinks and appetizers were very good. One block to a main metro line, half a block to the bus and about a 15 minute walk to the Danube and major tourist sites. 5 min walk to the "domestic" train station and a 10 minute taxi ride (approx 10 Euro) to the "international" train station. I highly recommend this hotel to Americans who don't want any surprises on their trip. Personally I would have liked a little more of the local Bohemian/Hungarian flair.

My sister and I enjoyed our stay here because it is close to public transportation and easily accessible. It's also close to a street with lots of restaurants and cafes (go to Oktagon and then go right for about 2 blocks, you can't miss it at night). Just don't ask the front desk where this is because they will point you towards the nearest McDonalds. My sister and I found them entirely unhelpful except for when we needed a taxi. Then, they were happy to provide their taxi and driver who charged twice what we paid when hailing a taxi ourselves to go to the same destination.

Hotel is comfortable, well located for transport links and public roomsare well appointed. Service in the breakfast room was poor. Overall good value.

The hotels location was excellent, close to everything. Rooms were ok for a four star but nothing to shout about. But what appalled my partner and I was the quality of the service- it was practically non-existant. I think I knew Budapest better than the hotel management. First the concierge could not be bothered to serve us, the next day he wasnt there, the manager on duty directed us to the wrong location of baths, they could offer nothing helpful on which baths to go (given that this is a tourist attraction!) and then the manager on duty the following day told us the baths were open for men and women when they were only open for men, so we went there for nothing. They didnt know the restaurants on the tourist guide, i felt i paid good money for utter rubbish. would NEVER go back.

I wasn't very impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel. Considering the cost, it wasn't bad, but I would not stay there again.

the older man in the reception desk was rude. that was my first impression when I checked in. The hotel was ok, spacious. The first day I stayed in a room on the 2nd floor, to the street, and the noice was unbearable. The next day, I complained and was changed to another room, where there was no noise. Its close to everything, 10-20 min walk, but the street its in, is not pretty. And the concierge was sooo not helpful. at all. that was very disapointing.

If you want a hotel that's in a nice area & within walking distance of the city centre, that's also clean and comfortable, then pick the Radisson. The rooms have little charm (you could be in any hotel,anywhere in the world) but are spacious and well kept. It has a pool too, which was welcome after a day walking round the city. Drawbacks - can be a bit noisy but hey you're in a city. Also the service was 50/50. Our minibar wasn't working, so they came & swapped the fridge within 5 mins! Fantastic. But on checking out, the guy on the reception was quite terse. Nothing dramatic. This is a safe bet.

Recommend the standard rooms for a cheap, good location.

very good hotel with excellent services,pool,sauna.room was at the front and was noisy during the day but was ok after 10pm.very clean rooms and all the facilities including free wirless internet in the bedrooms.i certainly would recommend this hotel.

good hotel for living.

The hotel was situated perfectlly,everything in alking distance. Shopping center near and connections by train, underground and buses nearby. One negative issue was the pool/relax area. This was one of the reasons why I choosed this hotel but it was closed. This takes down the rating a little bit and was a disappointment for me.

The Radisson Beke had made structural improvements to the foyer since I visited in late 2008. These mainly concerned the cafe and bar area and were for the better. On my previous visit I had cause to complain about inattentive and desultory service from bar staff - there was none of that this year, The service was attentive and very friendly. The food served was of excellent quality as were the drinks. The prices were very reasonable for a large hotel chain restaurant/bar in the centre of a major city. I would unreservedly recommend it.

This hotel appears to have received some bad revews in the past which to me are completely unwarranted. Yes the decor may be a tad behind the times, but is that really any cause for concern? I certainly didn't think so. Granted, we were too busy discovering Budapest for ourselves to go searching endlessly for trivial faults...but for good measure, this is what i thought of the Hotel beke. The location was brilliant, the staff were helpful, the rooms were spotless and safe , the beds comfortable, the restaurant has good food and service, and the bar serves drinks the way a bar should. i recommend anyone to stay here, i certainly would again if given the opportunity.

This is a good 4 star hotel well located in the city centre of Budapest. Its only a short walk to all the sights/resturants. The hotel is smart, rooms are good and the dinning room is good quality but a bit expensive. The only real down side is the small swimming pool and no jacuzzi. The front desk was not very good at recommending a resturant so we did our own thing.

Radisson is a very nice hoel in a good central location (15m walk from centre). the hotel itslef was clean, comforatable and service was good. Plenty of bars, restaurants close by and within walking distance (30 mins max) of all the main tourist sites/attractions. Would definatley recommend the hotel and price is reasonable so great value for money. Neg - pool and sauna are v small but plenty of public baths in teh city to compensate for this

That is, a large hotel that handles a lot of groups, the room was fine, the bathroom ws fine -the only problem was the people at the front desk, except for the actual concierge were nasty and short for no apparent reason. The concierge and bellmen were lovely but the nastiness of two different people at the front desk left colored the whole experience. We were glad we only there for one night.

This is a good quality hotel well placed for the sites of the city and near to some fantastic restaurants and cafes. The room was perfectly comfortable but lacking in character. The pool was a bit disappointing and the photos on the website flatter it. However, we got a good rate and the breakfast was very good. The staff were extremely helpful and the service very good indeed.

Nothing much to report about this hotel, clean and relatively modern. A bit noisy. Quite close to the center but a bit out of the way - not too many restaurants nearby so ended eating in the restaurant a couple of nights which was not wonderful and poor value for money. Breakfast was not included and we didn't feel that it was particularly good value either but going out for breakfast didn't seem to be much of an option. Overall felt the breakfast and restaurant were disappointing and poor value for money.

My wife and I were treated like kings. We really enjoyed our stay at the well-known BEKE hotel. It is in the center of town, you wouldn't need to rent a car. You also would be comfortable to invite your business partners to your hotel for talks. The bar is open at all hours and people sitting there for hours. Front desk clerks and managers are very knowledable about Budapest and attractions. I highly recommand the hotel for both business and pleasure.

A well located hotel worthy of its star rating. The restaurant served good local and in6ternational dishes, prepared very well for very reasonable prices. The wime was possibly a little expensive for what it was. Room was excellent good facilities and very wel looked after. A minor complaunt was that the service in the bar in the evening was not not up to standard, the man on duty seemed more intertested in his own (non-customer centred) work than in dealing with and providing for customers needs.

The hotel gives you your money's worth and then some. I was particularly impressed by the quality of service (Reception, Bar/Restaurant, Maids). Very friendly, fast and competent.

This hotel was situated right in the middle of Budapest within walking distance of many of the sights and made a perfect base for exploring the city. The nearby Octagon metro station sold all day travel cards making getting around easy and comfortable. The room in the hotel was clean and well kept, although the bathroom was quite small. We were fortunate to have a room on the side of the hotel away from the busy road at the front and found it to be nice and quiet. However the fan for controlling the temperature of the room was very noisy. The staff were friendly and helpful and spoke very good English if any help was needed. Overall we had a very good stay and I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking at hotels in Budapest. I really do not think you could be more central unless you are willing to pay more for one of the hotels on the river.

I have lived in Budapest off and on for 6 years and stayed in this hotel in December 2006 (for New Years). Here is some information that I hope will prove helpful: This is a very nice hotel located on the Pest side of Budapest near Oktagon. Excellent location because you do not need a taxi in order to get the to main road. The hotel is: - A four-minute walk to West End City Center (a very large shopping mall). - In between two tram stations (about 1/2 block from each). - Right next door to the Nyugati Railway station (Budapest Nyugati Pályaudvar) This is a safe area but of course one should always be cautious in an unknown city. It is best not to go inside Nyugati Railway Station alone at night. Again this is a safe area, but the train station (any train station) attracts a unique brand of people. The lobby of the hotel is quite nice and the entire hotel is very well-kept. Additionally, there is an oval shaped marquis of lights in front of the hotel -- a great landmark in case you happen to get a bit lost. The hotel is very nice inside, and the English-speaking staff are quite friendly and helpful. There is a small coffee shop inside (with pasteries, etc), but each time I tried it was not possible to find a seat (possibly because of New Years). I once asked for a sandwich at 4:00am and the man at the desk said that it would arrive in my room in 5 minutes. It did. It was a very small sandwich, so you might want to order two... There is a mini bar with peanuts, alcohol, etc. There is a charge for items on the mini bar. My room had two single beds (I traveled alone). I definitely would have preferred a double bed, and found the individual single bed somewhat, but not extremely comfortable simply because it was a bit small. The bathroom is as nice as the lobby (not large, but remodeled). One thing about the bathroom is that there is no shower curtain (not customary in Europe). However there is a glass partition that runs 1/2 of the length of the bath t

L'hôtel est bien situé pour visiter, magasiner ou manger à Pest. Le transport public y est accessible facilement de même que les sites touristiques et le Danube, également le côté Buda. En somme, c'est une très bon choix qualité, prix.

meget bra hotell. Flott frokostbuffet som var inkludert i prisen og avgjørende for vårt valg av deres hotell. Hotellet ligget like ved jernbanen som var fint for oss da vi brukte toget tur/retur flyplassen. Hotellet har også fin plassering iforhold til T-banen som er like ved. Fint for oss da vi hadde med oss eldre folk. Kan absolutt gi de beste anbefalinger.

Super godt hotel

For the price this was a really good experience. The rooms are nice and clean, the only downside is the airconditioning that doesn't do much. The breakfast is really good with everything you need to go out on a full stomach and there's even a guy making omelets with whatever you choose to have in it. The staff is also very nice and helpful.

Das Radisson SAS-Hotel liegt ziemlich zentral, zwei U-Bahn-Stationen von der Innenstadt entfernt und fußläufig zur Donau. Das Zimmer war sehr gut und geräumig. Allerdings stören uns im Bad Duschvorhänge, das ist nicht mehr zeitgemäß. Zimmer zur Seitenstraße am Wochenende okay, in der Woche etwas mehr Verkehrslärm. Personal und Service sehr gut und freundlich; excellente Kuchenauswahl im Café; Frühstück mit 17€/18 € allerdings wieder zu teuer.

C'est un hotel de luxe qui fait des promos pour le remplissage et donc une super prestation à prix modéré. Cependant l'étage est principalement utilisé par les cars de tourisme qui partent tôt et donc le menage se fait de bonne heure, un peu tôt et un peu de bruit mais n'empèche pas de dormir

Var i Budapest og på hotellet 5 dager, og hadde et fint opphold. Hotellet ligger med gang avstand fra toget (som kommer fra flyplassen). Videre kort til Metro osv. som gjør det enkelt og greit å komme seg fort rundt om man ikke vil gå. En koselig gate med masse forskjellige restauranter ligger en 5-7 min. gangavstand. Spiste der tre av dagene, godt utvalgt :) Hotellet hadde bra service, hadde et lite problem med noe lys ganske midt på natta (tror det gikk en sikring) og fikk ordna det veldig fort :) Alt i alt veldig bra opphold med selve hotellet og beliggenheten av hotellet.

sauberes modernes Zimmer Parkmöglichkeit am Hotel, etwas teuer reichliches gutes Frühstück freundliches Personal etwas laut, da an Hauptverkehrsstraße gelegen sehr gute Anbindung an U- Bahn und damit zum Zentrum

Jeg brugte meget tid på at finde det ideele hotel i Budapest. Dette hotel har absolut den BEDSTE placering. Det ligger super centralt og i nærheden af alt. Da det er et storbyshotel er der ingen udendørspool men en udemærket pool i kælderen man kan benytte sig af. Jeg prøvede 3 forskellige hjemmesider for at booke og henvendte mig også personligt på hotellet og Hotels.com havde absolut den bedste pris! De fleste af deres standard rooms er med enkelte senge. Hvis man skal have garanteret en Kingsize seng så vælg Superior room. Deres morgenmadsbuffet er for dyr i forhold til hvad det er og man kan sagtens få morgenmad/frokost i nærheden af hotellet på f.eks. udendørscafeer så man samtidig kan nyde solen og gademiljøet. Jeg anbefaler cafeerne i nærheden af operaen som er meget tæt på

Hotellet klassas som fyrstjärnigt, men det motsvarar svensk normal standard. Servicen var dock väldigt bra.

Trevligt hotell med bra bemötande i receptionen, fint rum med modern standard. Trevlig matsal och bra frukost. Kan även rekommendera restaurangen för middag. Gott och mycket proffsig betjäning. Hotellet ligger bra till. Det går bra att gå till de centrala turistdelarna. Även lätt att ta spårvagn.
